Okay, so, let’s talk about Michigan State hockey. I’ve been keeping an eye on them, and man, they’re on fire! I mean, seriously, they’re currently the top team, which is pretty awesome.
I started by checking out some recent news. I saw this headline that caught my attention: “Russell’s Last-Second Goal Sinks Wisconsin in OT.” It got me pumped up, so I decided to dig a little deeper into their recent games.
First, I rewatched the game against Minnesota. Remember that one? They were playing against the top-ranked team at the time and crushed them 5-3! I watched the highlights again, and it was just as exciting the second time around. The energy was insane. What a match!
Then, I looked into their match against Canisius. They swept that series with a 4-1 victory. That put them at 5-1 in Buffalo. Not too shabby, right? I scrolled through some comments online, and it seems like everyone is buzzing about how well they’re playing.
After that, I stumbled upon some news about the Great Lakes Invitational (GLI). Apparently, they almost snagged their first GLI title since 2009. They were just a shootout goal away! That’s gotta be a tough one, but it shows they’re right up there with the best.
Next, I found out that Daniel Russell, this guy had been quiet since the Lindenwood series, scored in the game and made it 2-0. Good for him! I always like seeing players break out of a slump.
Finally, I read about their recent series against Penn State. They took four out of six points, which is pretty solid. I guess they really wanted to hold onto that top spot in college hockey. Meanwhile, the Wolverines split their series with Notre Dame. Looks like Michigan State is definitely the team to watch right now.
