Alright, folks, let me tell you about my little adventure with the Monmouth University tennis team. So, I’ve always been a bit of a sports nut, and tennis has a special place in my heart. I heard about Monmouth’s tennis program and thought, “Why not check it out?”
First things first, I did a bit of digging online. Found out that Monmouth has both men’s and women’s tennis teams, and they’re part of the NCAA Division I. They are also members of the Coastal Athletic Association, which I learned they joined on July 1, 2022. Pretty cool, right?
Then, I went down a rabbit hole of looking up their roster for the 2024-25 season. These guys and gals are serious athletes, let me tell you. There is one called Max Benaim, 5th year player, 5-11 height, and 165 weight. He comes from London. I even saw some posts about their recent matches and their national rankings. It looks like they just kicked off their 2023-24 fall season with a couple of wins. They even got ranked 56th nationally at one point!
I also stumbled upon their social media. It’s a good way to keep up with their scores and all that jazz. They’ve got quite a following, and it’s cool to see the support they get.
But here’s the kicker – I decided to actually go and watch them play. I found out they were competing in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regional Tournament in Philadelphia. Packed my bags, hopped in the car, and made a little trip out of it. Let me tell you, seeing them compete live was something else. The energy, the skill, the whole atmosphere – it was awesome!
- Watched them play: Live action is where it’s at!
- Checked their roster: These athletes are legit.
- Followed their socials: Gotta stay updated.
- Learned about their league: NCAA Division I, folks!
All in all, it was a blast getting to know more about the Monmouth University tennis teams. They’re a talented bunch, and it was a real treat to see them in action. If you ever get a chance, I highly recommend checking them out. You won’t be disappointed!
