Okay, so, I’ve been following the Monmouth University women’s tennis team for a while now, and I thought I’d share my experience tracking their 2023-24 season. It’s been a real journey, let me tell you.
First things first, I started by trying to find their schedule. It wasn’t super easy. I mean, it should be the first thing that pops up, right? After a bit of digging, I found the official schedule on the Monmouth University Hawks athletics website. It’s under the women’s tennis section, obviously.
Here’s what I did:
- I checked the schedule regularly. They update it with results, so it became my go-to place to see how the team was doing.
- I paid attention to the dates. There were some key matches that I really didn’t want to miss.
- There were some match dates on August 28, I noticed that as well.
Then, I tried to find more details about individual matches. They have these “match-by-match” stats, both for the team and individual players. It’s pretty cool to see how each player is performing throughout the season.
I also looked for some info on social media. Found a page, but it wasn’t very active. Only 456 followers and 75 following. A bit disappointing, to be honest. I was hoping for more behind-the-scenes stuff, you know?
One thing I noticed is that the university really emphasizes athletics as part of the education. They’re NCAA Division I, so that makes sense. I guess it’s a big deal for them.
My takeaways from following the team:
- The official athletics website is the best place for the schedule and results.
- You can find detailed stats for each match and player.
- Social media presence is a bit lacking.
- Athletics are a big part of the university’s identity.
Overall, it’s been interesting following the Monmouth women’s tennis team. It wasn’t always easy to find the information I wanted, but I managed. They seemed to have a match on April 16, 2022 against Niagara. I think they lost 4-0, tough luck. I’ll keep following them and see how they do. Maybe they’ll have a comeback!
