Well, I gotta tell ya, there’s somethin’ real excitin’ goin’ on up in Utica, NY. You see, it’s all about the Northeast Pack Hockey League, or the NE Pack, as folks like to call it. Now, I ain’t no big fancy expert on hockey, but when they start talkin’ about them kids skatin’ around, I can’t help but get a little excited! The place where all this action’s happenin’ is the Utica University Nexus Center, real nice spot for a game, if you ask me.
Now, the kids that come to play in this here league are between the ages of 14 and 18, and let me tell ya, they don’t hold back. These young folks, they got some real talent. You won’t believe the kind of moves they can make on that ice! And when they got games like the USA No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchups in the 15U and 16U age groups, well, you know it’s gonna be a real show. That’s somethin’ you don’t see every day, that’s for sure.
If you can’t be there in person, don’t you worry none. The games are all streamed live on HockeyTV, which is a big ol’ platform where folks can watch all kinds of ice hockey games. I reckon that’s a big deal for those folks who can’t make the trip out to Utica, or anywhere else for that matter. Just hop on your TV or your computer and you can watch any game, anytime you want. Ain’t technology a wonderful thing?
But if you do happen to be in the area, the NE Pack’s got a full weekend planned. They got teams comin’ from all over, like the Buffalo Jr. Sabres. You know, them teams that are always fightin’ for those USA Hockey National Championships. It’s a real deal, y’all. And I heard tell they’ll be playin’ from Friday through Sunday, so if you’re around, you got plenty of time to catch some of the action.
Some of the teams you’ll see up there includin’ the Bishop Kearney Selects, and the Long Island Gulls. Now, I ain’t got no personal stake in who wins, but I sure do love watchin’ them kids play hard and give it their all. That’s what really counts, don’t you think?
