Today, I went to the Costa Mesa Tennis Center. I had heard a lot of good things about it, so I decided to check it out myself.
First off, I drove over to the place. It wasn’t too hard to find, right off the freeway. Parking was easy enough, a big lot with plenty of spaces. I grabbed my racket and headed inside.
The first thing I did was check in at the front desk. The staff were really friendly, and they gave me a quick rundown of the place. They have a bunch of courts, both indoors and outdoors. I decided to go for an outdoor court since it was a nice day.
Getting on the Court
I booked a court for an hour. It was pretty reasonable, price-wise. I walked out to the court and started hitting some balls. The courts are in good shape, well-maintained. I played a few sets with a buddy who came along, and we had a great time.
- Hitting some forehands, the surface felt good, not too fast, not too slow.
- Worked on my backhand, the bounce was consistent, which is always nice.
- Tried out some serves, the lines were clear, and the nets were in good condition.
After our hour was up, we took a break. They have a nice little area with tables and chairs where you can relax. I got a drink from the vending machine and just chilled for a bit. They have a little pro shop as well. So we looked around. I did not buy anything though.
Overall, I had a solid experience at the Costa Mesa Tennis Center. It’s a great place to play some tennis, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced. I’ll definitely be going back. They even have lights, so you can play in the evening, which is a big plus. I will try that next time.
If you’re in the area and looking for a place to play, I’d recommend checking it out. It’s worth a visit, for sure!
