Well, you know, Nicky Romeo, he’s been playin’ hockey like a good ol’ boy. I heard he’s now with them Fighting Saints, right after he was playin’ for the Maine Nordiques. They say he got picked up by the Saints in October 2023. It ain’t easy, movin’ from one team to another, but looks like this Nicky fella’s doin’ just fine.
See, before this, he was playin’ in the NAHL, that’s the North American Hockey League, or so I’m told. It’s a tough league, ain’t no walk in the park. But Nicky, well, he’s a forward and they say he was pretty good, scorin’ and all. I heard he committed to the University of Maine Black Bears for the 2025-2026 season. That’s somethin’, huh? Movin’ up in the world, just like that.

Now, not too long ago, there was some talk about him movin’ to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Eliteprospects said somethin’ about that, confirmin’ it and all. But next thing ya know, he’s with the Maine Nordiques. Hockey players, they move ‘round a lot, always switchin’ teams, but this Nicky seems to take it in stride. He’s been all over the place lately, makin’ a name for himself.
Fighting Saints Got Themselves a Good One
The Fighting Saints must’ve been real glad to get him. Ain’t easy findin’ good players these days, but they picked up Nicky right after he had a good season in the NAHL. They say he scored a good number of goals, which ain’t surprisin’. That boy knows how to play some hockey. I reckon the Saints are hopin’ he can do the same for them now. You know, winnin’ games takes more than just a team, it takes players who can score, and that’s what Nicky’s doin’.
Headed for the University of Maine
Now, the big news is, after all this playin’, Nicky’s goin’ to the University of Maine to play for them Black Bears in the 2025/2026 season. They already got him committed, so they must think he’s somethin’ special. He’ll be headin’ there after playin’ with the Saints for a while. That’s a big jump for a young fella like him. They say the Black Bears got themselves a good one, and I reckon they’re right.
Hard Work Pays Off
Nicky’s been workin’ hard, no doubt about it. Movin’ from team to team, scorin’ goals, and now headin’ to college hockey. I don’t know much about hockey myself, but I know it takes a lotta grit to keep goin’ like he does. Folks always say if you work hard, you’ll go places, and looks like that’s true for Nicky. He’s showin’ folks that a boy from the NAHL can make it to the big leagues, or at least to college hockey, which ain’t no small thing neither.
So, that’s Nicky Romeo for ya. Hockey player, hard worker, and looks like he’s got a bright future ahead of him. We’ll just have to wait and see what he does next. But I reckon, whatever it is, he’s gonna do just fine. Hockey’s his game, and he’s playin’ it like a champ.
