Alright, so you wanna know about this Northfield Mount Hermon hockey, eh? Let me tell ya, it’s a pretty big deal, from what I hear. Sounds like a fancy school, you know, the kind with all the smarty-pants kids. And they got themselves some hockey teams, both boys and girls, seems like.
Now, I ain’t never seen a hockey game in my life, but I hear it’s played on ice. Ice! Can you believe it? They freeze water and then skate around on it. Sounds colder than a well-digger’s behind in January! They got this other hockey too, field hockey they call it. That one’s played on grass, or somethin’ like grass, fake grass maybe. I guess them kids gotta have somethin’ to do besides studyin’ all the time.
This Northfield place, they play in some big leagues. The girls, they’re in somethin’ called NEPSAC, Division I. Sounds important, huh? Division I! Like they’re the best of the best. And the boys, they got their own teams, varsity and all that. They play other schools, Salisbury I saw mentioned somewhere. Gameday they call it, like it’s some big holiday. They even got live streamin’ now, so folks can watch from home, I guess. Fancy stuff, I tell ya.

- They play on ice, mostly, sometimes on grass.
This school, Northfield Mount Hermon, it ain’t just about sports though. They say it’s a real hard school, lots of learnin’. But they let the kids play sports too, hockey bein’ one of ’em. They even got some special program, CMAP they call it, to help the kids do both, the learnin’ and the sportin’. Sounds like a lot of work to me, but I guess them kids are used to it.
And it seems like these hockey players, they go on to do big things. I heard about this one fella, Kevin somethin’-or-other, played there for three years, loved it so much. So it must be a good place, this Northfield. Must be somethin’ special about it.
Now, I don’t know all the ins and outs of this hockey business. They got rosters and stats and all that, but that’s just numbers to me. What I know is, it’s a big deal for these kids, and this school seems mighty proud of their hockey teams. They got pages and pages about it online, I hear. People writin’ about the games and the players and all that. It’s a whole world, this hockey world.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a school with good hockey, this Northfield Mount Hermon seems like a good bet. Just be prepared for some cold weather and a lot of hard work, both on the ice and in the classroom. And maybe bring a warm coat, ’cause that ice ain’t no joke!
They even got scouts watchin’ these games, I heard. Folks lookin’ for the next big star. So, it ain’t just for fun, this hockey. It could be a ticket to somethin’ bigger, somethin’ better. Who knows, maybe one of them Northfield kids will be on TV someday, playin’ in the big leagues. It could happen. Stranger things have happened, I tell ya.
Anyways, that’s about all I know about this Northfield Mount Hermon hockey. It’s a fancy school with fancy teams and fancy programs. And them kids, they must be somethin’ special, playin’ hockey on ice and hittin’ the books all at the same time. Good for them, I say. Good for them.
