Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this Oklahoma versus Washington football thing, whatever they call it, you know, the fellas runnin’ around with the ball. So, Oklahoma, they got this team, the Sooners, yeah, like the folks who come early, I guess. They been playin’ this game for a long time, since way back when, longer than I can remember for sure. Folks say they’re pretty good, won a bunch of these championship thingies, seven of ’em, they say.
Now, Washington, they got a team too. Don’t know much about them, but I hear they ain’t too shabby neither. They got some fellas who can run fast and throw that ball far, just like the Sooners. These Washington fellas, they won somethin’ too, somethin’ about bein’ the state champs, twice in a row! That’s gotta be somethin’, right?

So, these two teams, they gotta play each other. Happened before, way back in the day, somethin’ about an Orange Bowl in ’85. Washington won that one, I heard. Then there’s this other thing, these games from a long time ago, like in ’57. Oklahoma was winnin’ everything, but then Notre Dame beat ’em. Stuff happens, ya know?
They also played back in ’62, and Oklahoma seems to have the upper hand in those games. But who knows what’ll happen now? It’s like when my hens get into the garden, you never know what kinda mess you’ll find. Might be a surprise, good or bad.
They say Oklahoma has this mascot, somethin’ called the Sooner Schooner. Don’t ask me what that is, sounds like a fancy wagon to me. And Washington, well, they got these Huskies. Dogs, I think. Big ones, probably, gotta be tough to play this football game.
Anyways, they played some high school football games too. Washington won somethin’ there, beat some team from Oklahoma City. Kids these days, always runnin’ around, full of energy. Good for them, keeps ’em out of trouble, I reckon.
Folks get all excited about this football thing. They watch it on TV, listen on the radio, talk about it all the time. Me, I don’t get it much, all that runnin’ and bumpin’ into each other. But hey, if it makes folks happy, I ain’t gonna complain.
So, who’s gonna win this Oklahoma versus Washington game? Beats me. Might be Oklahoma, might be Washington. Just gotta wait and see, I suppose. Like waitin’ for the biscuits to finish bakin’. You never know how they’ll turn out ’til they’re done.
