So, I signed up for the OSU basketball camp. Yeah, I’m a big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, who wouldn’t want to play where the pros play, right?
First off, getting signed up was pretty easy. I just filled out some forms, nothing too crazy. Once that was done, I was all set. I packed my bag with all my basketball gear, and made sure I had my best shoes. This was going to be awesome!
- Arrived at the campus, and man, it was huge!
- Got checked in, got my camp T-shirt, the usual stuff.
The camp itself? It was a blast! We started with some warm-ups, just to get the blood flowing. Then we moved on to the drills. We did a lot of them. Lots of running, dribbling, shooting, the whole nine yards. The coaches, they were really into it, pushing us to do our best, you know? They broke things down, showed us some cool moves, and gave us some tips on how to improve our game.
We had different kinds of gameplays. It was not just like the normal rhythm game, but also like Taiko, and some new ones I never saw before.
We also played some actual games, which was the best part, obviously. It was so fun getting to play on those courts. They felt so professional. We practiced some strategies that OSU players usually do on the court. I messed up a few times, but hey, that’s how you learn, right?
The whole experience was pretty tiring, ngl. By the end of each day, I was completely wiped out. But it was a good kind of tired, you know? Like you really accomplished something.
At the end of the camp, they gave us a little send-off. We took some pictures, said our goodbyes, and that was it. Overall, it was an amazing experience. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who’s into basketball, especially if you’re an Ohio State fan. You get to play some ball, learn some new skills, and just have a great time. I might even do it again next year!
