Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with getting the PCL basketball standings. It wasn’t super straightforward, so I figured I’d write down what I did in case I need it again, or if it helps someone else out.
First, I tried just hitting up Google. You know, the usual “PCL basketball standings” search. I got some links, but nothing that was like, a clean, easy-to-use data source. Lots of news articles, some old schedules… basically a mess.
Then I thought, “Maybe there’s an official PCL website?” So I did some more digging, trying to find something official. Nope. Nothing helpful. I think my problem is there is not any official website.
I even thought if it is on the some sports websites. I couldn’t find a good, consistently updated table. Bummer.
So there are some ways to slove this problem.
- Check for Local News Websites.
- Social Media(This is what i do!).
- Contact Schools Directly.
I ended up to use Social Media,Just search for “PCL basketball” or something similar. This can be a surprisingly good way to get quick updates.
So, yeah, that’s where I’m at. It’s a bit of a pain, but I am gonna keep digging. If I find a better way, I’ll definitely update this. It’s one of those things that should be easy to find, but sometimes it just isn’t!
