Alright, so I got into this whole tennis thing, specifically the Queens College women’s tennis team. It’s been a journey, let me tell you.
First off, I started digging around about this team. I found out that the head coach has been around for like, 11 years or something. That’s a long time! It got me thinking, “Wow, this coach must really know their stuff to be leading the team for over a decade.”
- Getting into the Details
- So I kept going. Turns out, these Queens College women’s tennis players are pretty good. They finished their regular season with a solid 13-4 record. That’s impressive, right? And get this, they missed the tournament last year for the first time in forever. 21 years straight they made it, and then bam, nothing last year.
Diving Deeper
This made me even more curious. What happened last year? Why did they miss it? I had to know. I started reading up on their matches. They had this one match where they were fighting for the top seed. Sounds intense, huh?
And then, boom! I find this article saying, “Back on Top! Queens Wins 10th ECC Women’s Tennis Championship.” I was like, “Yes! They did it!” It felt like I was part of their journey, even though I was just reading about it.
The Winning Match
The article talked about how they crushed it in the doubles action. Apparently, there’s this duo – Maja Makal and Saga Berggren – who are ranked 46th in the nation. How cool is that? They must be amazing to watch.
Then I stumbled upon another match, this one against St. Thomas Aquinas College. Apparently, St. Thomas Aquinas was undefeated until they played against Queens. Queens won 4-1. I was stoked! They ended St. Thomas Aquinas’s perfect season. Talk about a major win!
So yeah, that’s basically my journey into the world of Queens College women’s tennis. It’s been a wild ride, following their ups and downs, and I’m pretty sure I’m their biggest fan now. I just feel so invested in their story after all this. I hope they keep killing it, and I really enjoyed this trip!
