Well, lemme tell ya about this RIT men’s hockey team. Now, this here team is from that Rochester Institute of Technology, and they got themselves a big ol’ schedule lined up for 2024-25. These boys, they play on ice, skatin’ round with them sticks and pucks, tryin’ to score goals and whatnot. They got a bunch of games comin’ up this year, 35 in total, so there ain’t no shortage of action for folks who love watchin’ hockey.
The RIT Tigers, that’s what they call themselves. Now, I ain’t no expert on hockey, but I can tell ya these fellas are tough. They play their home games at this place called the Gene Polisseni Center. It’s a mighty fine rink, built back in 2014, and it holds about 4,300 folks. So if ya wanna go see ‘em play, there’s room enough for a good crowd, but ya might wanna get them tickets early. Ain’t no guarantee them seats’ll be empty long when the Tigers are on the ice.
One of their recent games, boy, that was somethin’. They played against Clarkson, some team up in Potsdam, New York. It was a close one, I’ll tell ya that. The score was 3-2, and it was this Tanner Andrew fella who scored the winning goal for RIT. The game went right down to the wire, but them Tigers, they came out on top. That’s just the kind of spirit this team’s got – they don’t give up easy.
Now, they got games all over the place this season. I hear they’ll be travelin’ to a bunch of towns, playin’ other colleges and what have ya. It’s a real busy time for them boys. And if ya wanna check out their full schedule, well, they done posted it on the official RIT Tigers hockey website. All them dates and places, they’re right there, easy as pie to find. Just get on that computer of yers and look it up.
