Okay, here is my sharing about “Scott Hazelton basketball”.
So I was digging around for some old-school basketball stuff, and the name Scott Hazelton popped up. I remembered seeing his name somewhere but couldn’t recall exactly where. Seems he was a pretty big deal back in the day, a McDonald’s All-American in 2000. That’s a while ago, man.
Started looking up what I could find on him. The guy was a forward, 6’8″, 225 lbs – a solid build. Born in Somerville, apparently. Found some buzz about his skills. People were saying his three-point shot was smooth, and he had some serious court vision and passing skills, which is interesting for a forward.
Then I stumbled upon this thing called the “Be Seen Tour”. It seems like it was some kind of event to showcase players. Scott Hazelton was featured alongside Vin Pastore and Tom Nelson. I wish I could have seen that. Seems I missed something nice.
My Searching For Scott
- Watched some videos on Scott Hazelton’s playing style.
- Looked at news articles on ESPN about him.
- Tried to figure out how recruiting has changed since he was a hot prospect.
I spent hours just reading articles and watching whatever clips I could find. Got lost in all these stories about college basketball recruiting and how it’s changed since Scott’s time. Feels like a whole different world now.
There wasn’t a ton of recent stuff on him, but it seems like he played for the Rhode Island Rams. I checked out his career stats – points, rebounds, the whole nine yards. It’s always cool to see how a player’s career pans out, you know?
This whole thing got me thinking about all those players who were hyped up back in the day. Where are they now? What are they up to? It’s like a trip down memory lane, digging up these old names and stories.
Anyway, that’s my little deep dive into Scott Hazelton. It was a fun little research project. Maybe I’ll look up some more players from that era. Who knows what other forgotten gems are out there?
