Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about them junior Wilson tennis shoes white. I seen ’em on the TV, them fancy kids wearin’ ’em. Looked clean, you know? Like fresh snow, but for your feet.
My grandkid, that little rascal, been beggin’ me for a pair. Says all the other kids got ’em. Says he can’t play tennis right without ’em. Tennis? Back in my day, we just played with whatever shoes we had on, even if they had holes in ’em! But times change, I guess.
So, I went down to the store, the big one, you know, the one with all the shiny stuff. Asked the fella there, the one with the tight pants, for them white tennis shoes. He showed me a whole wall of ’em! My eyes went dizzy, all them shoes starin’ back at me.
- Some had stripes,
- some had stars,
- some had, I don’t even know what.
But I was lookin’ for the plain white ones, the Wilson ones, like the TV showed. The fella said they were good shoes, made for runnin’ and jumpin’ and whatnot. Said they had good grippy bottoms so you don’t slip on that court thingy, the tennis court.
I picked up a pair, felt ’em good. They were soft inside, like a pillow for your feet. And they weren’t too heavy, which is good, ’cause that grandkid of mine, he ain’t exactly built like a brick house. He needs shoes that let him move, you know? Run fast, jump high, all that stuff kids do.
I asked the fella how much they cost, and let me tell ya, my jaw nearly dropped! More money than I make in a week! But what are you gonna do? That grandkid, he’s got me wrapped around his little finger. So, I paid up, grumbling all the way to the cash register.
Got them shoes home, showed ’em to the kid. His eyes lit up like Christmas morning. He put ’em on right away, started runnin’ around the house like a wild chicken. “Grandma,” he says, “these are the best shoes ever!” Made me feel good, you know? Even if they cost a pretty penny.
Now, he wears them shoes everywhere. To school, to the park, even to church! I keep tellin’ him to save ’em for tennis, but he don’t listen. Kids these days, they don’t listen to nothin’. But at least he’s happy, and his feet are comfy, I guess.
I even seen him playin’ tennis in them shoes. He ain’t half bad, that kid. Maybe them fancy shoes do help, I don’t know. But he’s out there runnin’ and hittin’ that little yellow ball, and he’s smilin’. And that’s all that matters, right?
So, if you’re lookin’ for some good shoes for your kid, them junior Wilson tennis shoes white, they ain’t bad. They’re a bit pricey, but they seem to hold up good. And they make the kids happy, which is a plus. Just don’t let ’em wear ’em to bed, like my grandkid tries to do!
I reckon you can find ’em online too, on that “amazon” thing the kids talk about. Probably get a better deal than I did, darn it. But that’s alright. Live and learn, I always say. Just make sure you get the right size, or your kid will be trippin’ over their own feet, and that ain’t no good.
Tennis shoes, who would’ve thought they’d be so important? Back in my day, we wore whatever we could find. But times change, and I guess that’s alright. As long as the kids are happy and healthy, that’s all that matters. And if a pair of fancy white shoes helps with that, then so be it.
