Alright, so listen up, y’all. We’re gonna talk about this basketball game, Southern Utah somethin’ or other, playing against some other teams. I ain’t no expert, but I can tell ya what I see.

Now, they got this game comin’ up, Southern Utah Thunderbirds against them UCLA Bruins. That’s gonna be on November 26th, 10 at night. Folks bettin’ money on this, they say. DraftKings, or somethin’ like that, they got the odds.

I heard tell that Southern Utah, they been coverin’ the spread, you know? That +22.5 line, they sayin’. Means they ain’t losin’ by too much, I reckon. Been doin’ it for five games straight, they tell me. And nine outta ten times before that too. So, maybe they ain’t so bad, these Thunderbirds.

But then, there’s these other games too. They played against Loyola Chicago Ramblers, and some Omaha Mavericks. Folks tryin’ to guess who’s gonna win, puttin’ down their money. I don’t get it, but that’s what they do.

Anyways, back to this UCLA game. It’s a big deal, seems like. People are talkin’, and that DraftKings place, they’re figurin’ out who’s gonna win and by how much. That +22.5, that’s a lot of points, ain’t it? Means UCLA is supposed to win by a whole bunch. But Southern Utah, they been keepin’ it close, so maybe they got a chance. Maybe UCLA ain’t as good as they think.

• So, first thing, Southern Utah plays good defense, see. They don’t let the other team score too easy. That’s important, real important. Keeps ‘em in the game, even if they ain’t scorin’ a lot themselves.

Now, I don’t know nothin’ about basketball, really. But I know a thing or two about fightin’. And in basketball, just like in fightin’, you gotta be tough. You gotta be scrappy. You gotta want it more than the other guy. And maybe, just maybe, Southern Utah, they got that fight in ‘em.

So, if you ask me, and nobody did, but I’m tellin’ ya anyway, this game could be closer than folks think. That +22.5, that’s a big number. Southern Utah, they been coverin’ that spread. Means they ain’t givin’ up, ain’t lettin’ the other team run all over ‘em. And that’s somethin’, that is.

So, here’s my prediction, if you can call it that. I ain’t bettin’ no money, ‘cause I ain’t got none to spare. But I think Southern Utah, they gonna keep it close. They might even surprise some folks. They might not win, but they ain’t gonna get blown out neither. They gonna fight. They gonna play hard. And that’s all you can ask for, ain’t it? Just go out there and give it your all. That’s what matters.
