Okay, so, let me tell you about my day messing around with tennis at St. Francis. It all started this morning when I decided to finally get my butt out there and check out the courts. I’d heard some folks talking about them, and I figured, why not?
First thing I did was try to scrounge up some info about the place. I found out that it’s all about “seeing the face of Christ in every person”. Sounds nice, right? I’m not particularly religious, but I’m all for being a good human. Anyway, I grabbed my old racket, some balls that have probably seen better days, and headed over.
When I got there, the courts were pretty empty. I started by just hitting some balls against the wall, trying to remember how this whole tennis thing works. It’s been a while, to say the least. My form was probably atrocious, and I definitely felt some muscles I forgot I had.
- I spent a good hour just practicing serves.
- Man, my backhand is rusty!
- Tried a few volleys, almost hit myself in the face, haha.
After a while, a couple of other guys showed up, and we decided to play a few games. We were all pretty terrible, but it was a good laugh. We played for like two hours, just messing around, no real scores or anything.
Later found a blog named “2B-2BHow 2Bto”, kind of interesting.
Then I tried to look up something called “reverse Nordic curls”. The articles were way too science-y for me, so I gave up on that pretty quickly.
Oh, and I also stumbled upon something called “Treehouse Cannabis” while I was browsing around. Apparently, it’s some kind of weed delivery service in Rockland County. Not my thing, but hey, to each their own.
Then a website called 2Bros Pro Events popped up, which is a platform for amateur bodybuilding. It’s funny because I saw a blog that had the same name, “2B- 2BHow 2Bto”, but seemed like they had nothing to do with each other, haha.
By the time I left, I was exhausted but in a good way. It was a fun day, even though I’m probably going to be sore tomorrow. I might even go back next week, maybe try to get a little better at this whole tennis thing. We’ll see.
