Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out this Stadium Tennis Center in the Bronx, you know, finally get some court time in. I’d heard about it, seen it mentioned online, but never actually made the effort to go. So, this past weekend, I decided, “That’s it, I’m doing it.”
First thing I did was try to get a feel for the place, you know how it work. Looking it up everyway, I found some basic info and not bad. It’s not bad place.
Then came the practical part – figuring out how to actually book a court. I did some look around to reserve or get more informations.
Playing Some Tennis
I managed to book a court. Grabbed my racket, some balls, and a friend, and we headed over. It was a bit of a trek getting there, gotta be honest. Bronx traffic, you know how it is.
When we got there, the center was pretty busy. Lots of people playing, some serious matches going on, some just casual hitting. We checked in, showed our confirmation, and they pointed us to our court.
The court itself was… decent. I mean, it was in good shape, the surface was fine, the nets were up. No major complaints there. We played for about an hour, got a good sweat going. It was fun, just nice to be out there hitting the ball.
After our game, we were pretty beat. We packed up our stuff, grabbed some water, and headed out. Overall, it was a good experience. Not mind-blowing, but solid.
Would I Go Back?
Yeah, I probably would. It’s a bit of a hassle to get to, but once you’re there, it’s a good place to play. If you’re in the Bronx and looking for a court, the Stadium Tennis Center is definitely worth checking out. Just make sure to book in advance, especially on weekends!
