Okay, so today I decided to check out the Monmouth women’s tennis team. I’ve been meaning to get into watching more college sports, and tennis seemed like a good place to start.
First off, I went ahead and looked up their schedule to see when their next match was. It looked like they had a home game coming up this weekend, perfect! I figured I’d go and watch them in person.
Then I did a bit more digging to learn about the team. Who are the players? What are their rankings? That kind of stuff. I went to the official Monmouth athletics website, the go-to place for all things related to their sports. It was easy to navigate and I quickly found the women’s tennis roster. It was interesting to see where all the players were from and what their years of eligibility were. A mix of freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors, you know the usual college mix. And players are from different countries.
Checking Out Their Stats
After getting a feel for the roster, I started poking around their stats from this season. I wanted to see how they’ve been performing. It looks like they’ve had a decent season so far, winning some and losing some. I also looked at individual player stats, who’s been winning their singles and doubles matches?
- I checked out some of their past match results.
- They’ve played against some tough teams in their conference.
- Some matches were really close, coming down to the wire.
- A few players have been really standing out with their winning records.
Overall, I’m feeling pretty good about catching their match this weekend. It was cool to do a little research beforehand and get familiar with the team. It makes it more interesting when you know a bit about the players and how they’ve been doing. I hope they play well. I’ll probably try to keep up with them for the rest of the season and see how they do in their conference tournament.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the world of Monmouth women’s tennis. Maybe next time I will check out another sports team and I will share that with you guys. Go Hawks!
