Okay, so today I wanna share a little adventure I had recently. It’s all about TCNJ women’s tennis. You know, I’ve always been kinda into sports, just never really got serious about any. But I heard about The College of New Jersey’s tennis team, and it kinda caught my eye. So, I started to dig a little deeper.
First thing I did, like anyone these days, was jump onto Facebook. Found their official page, saw some cool photos and updates. They seem pretty active and connected. It made me feel like this is a team with a good vibe.
Then, I went a bit further and checked out their roster for 2024-25. It’s always interesting to see who’s playing, right? I even saw a mention of a retired player from 2022, and some info on the coach. It gave me a good idea of the team’s history and how they’re moving forward.
After that, I looked up their 2022-23 schedule. Just wanted to see what kind of teams they play against and how they’ve been doing. It’s kinda like checking out a band’s tour dates before you become a fan, you know?
Big News
Here’s where it got exciting. I read that they were starting their NCAA Tournament journey at MIT. They had a match against Manhattanville. This was big news! It shows they’re not just playing for fun; they’re competing at a high level.
Getting Personal
- I found an Instagram post from January 23, 2024, introducing the women’s team captains, Aira Abalos and Chase Eisenberg. It’s awesome to see who’s leading the team.
- Another post from September 8, 2023, introduced the whole 2023-2024 team. It made me feel more connected to them, seeing all their faces and knowing they’re real people with a passion for tennis.
So, I got to learn that their teams are part of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and compete in Division III of the NCAA. Also found out that Princeton University is in Princeton, New Jersey. This is all just basic stuff, but it helps paint a bigger picture of where TCNJ stands in the college sports world.
This whole experience was pretty cool. I started with just a little curiosity about TCNJ women’s tennis, and ended up learning a lot about the team, their achievements, and their players. It’s amazing how much info is out there once you start looking. I might not be hitting the courts myself anytime soon, but I’m definitely gonna keep an eye on how they do in their tournaments. It’s like I’ve found a new team to root for, all thanks to a little online digging.
