Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this “tennis top dog” idea, and I gotta say, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. I wanted to see if I could somehow track my progress, you know, see if I’m actually getting any better at tennis.
First, I grabbed a notebook. Yeah, a real paper one. I figured, why not go old-school? After every match or practice session, I scribbled down a few notes.
- Who I played against.
- The score.
- What I felt I did well.
- And, of course, what I totally sucked at.
It was messy, handwriting all over the place, but it was a start. After a couple of weeks, I started noticing some patterns. Like, my backhand was consistently letting me down. And my serve? Let’s just say it needed some serious work.
Getting a Bit More Organized
Then,I was used Excel.I dumped all my handwritten notes into it. I made columns for opponents, scores, my good points, my bad points, the whole shebang.
Seeing it all laid out like that, it was kinda eye-opening. I could actually see the numbers, the wins and losses, the areas where I was consistently struggling.
So, yeah, that’s where I’m at with this “tennis top dog” journey. It’s not pretty, it’s not perfect, but it’s helping me keep track of things. And hey, maybe one day I’ll actually be a top dog. Or at least, you know, a slightly-less-bottom dog.
