Alright, so lemme tell ya ’bout this young fella, Timmy Delay. Seems like a nice boy, plays that hockey game, you know, the one with the ice and sticks. Folks keep talkin’ ’bout him, so I figured I’d try and make sense of it all for ya.
Now, they say he’s a forward. That means he’s one of them fellas up front, tryin’ to get that puck thingy into the net. Sounds important, I guess. He’s a young ‘un, only 28 years old they say. Still got a lot of skatin’ left in him, probably.
They say he played for some team called the Chilliwack Chiefs last year. Sounded like a funny name to me, Chiefs, like a bunch of big shots, huh? But I hear they’re a good team, so Timmy must be pretty good too.
This year though, he’s playin’ for the Boston College Eagles. Big school, lots of fancy folks there I bet. They even got a website and everything, all official lookin’. Says he’s from Hingham, Massachusetts. That’s up north, ain’t it? Cold up there, perfect for that hockey game.
- They say he’s 6 foot 1 inch tall. That’s a pretty good size, I reckon. Makes him look big and strong out there on the ice.
- And he weighs 170 pounds. Not too skinny, not too fat. Just right, like a good potato.
They traded him to Chilliwack from some other team, Sioux Falls Stampede. Sound like a bunch of wild animals running around, but I guess that’s how they do things in hockey. They traded him for “future considerations”. Now, I don’t know what that means, sounds like they promised something later on.
Anyways, they got all sorts of numbers for him too. Goals, assists, points… I don’t rightly understand it all, but it sounds like he’s doin’ alright out there. He’s got stats, they call ’em. Like how many times he hits that puck thingy. Seems important to these hockey folks.
Seems like everyone’s keeping track of what he does on the ice. How many goals he scores, how many times he helps someone else score. They got it all written down, like he’s some kinda celebrity. They even say how tall he is and how much he weighs, like they gonna buy him by the pound or somethin’!
They got pictures of him too, all dressed up in that hockey gear. Looks like a tough kid, but I bet he’s a good boy, you know? Mama probably proud of him, skatin’ around and whatnot.
So, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. Timmy Delay, plays hockey, pretty good at it, and folks seem to like watchin’ him. He’s played for a few different teams and now he’s playin’ for Boston College. Good for him, I say. Hope he stays outta trouble and keeps on skatin’.
Now, if you ask me, it all sounds a bit complicated, all that skatin’ and puck-chasin’. But if it makes folks happy, then I guess it’s alright. Just hope they don’t get hurt out there on that ice, looks awful slippery to me. I’d rather sit here with my cup of tea and watch from a distance. But they do what they enjoy, right? That’s the important thing.
Anyway, that’s all I know ‘bout this Timmy Delay fella. Hopefully, that makes some sense to ya. If not, well, at least you tried, right?
