Well, ain’t this somethin’, talkin’ ’bout this América vs. Leon game. Folks wanna know the score, huh? Let me tell ya, it’s all a bunch of kickin’ and runnin’ around if ya ask me. These fellas, they run up and down that field like chickens with their heads cut off.
Heard tell there’s this Club América and Club Leon. Fancy names, right? Like them fellas think they’re all high and mighty. But really, they just kickin’ a ball, ain’t they? Don’t matter what they call themselves, it’s still just a game.
Now, this game, they say it was in some stadium. Estadio Leon, they call it. In Leon city, Mexico. Sounds like a fancy place, but I bet it’s just a big ol’ field with some seats. They probably got folks sellin’ snacks and drinks too, just like at the county fair.

- Run around
- Yell at each other
That’s pretty much all they do, far as I can see. They say it’s part of somethin’ called Liga MX. Sounds important, don’t it? But it’s just a bunch of games, really. Folks get all worked up about it, but in the end, it’s just a game.
This one time, they played, they say it was on April 20th. At 11 o’clock at night. Who in their right mind plays a game that late? Normal folks are sleepin’ by then. But these fellas, they’re out there kickin’ that ball, like it’s the most important thing in the world.
They say there’s ways to watch it on TV or online. Fancy stuff, huh? Back in my day, we didn’t have none of that. If ya wanted to see somethin’, ya had to go there yourself. But now, they got it all figured out, I reckon. Can watch it from yer own couch, don’t even gotta put on shoes.
This match, it’s got a start time. UTC they call it. Somethin’ to do with time zones, I guess. Confuses me somethin’ fierce. Can’t they just say “afternoon” or “nighttime”? Makes more sense to me.
They talk about live scores and lineups and stats. All these numbers and such. My head starts spinnin’ just thinkin’ about it. Can’t they just say who won and who lost? That’s all I wanna know.
They played again, in December. And then in June. And now they’re playin’ again in October. Seems like they’re always playin’ these games. Must be important to somebody, I guess. Me, I got better things to do than watch a bunch of fellas kick a ball around.
They say it was 2-0, one time. América won, I think. But really, who keeps track? It’s just a game. They kick the ball, they score some points, and then they go home. And then they do it all again next time.
They even got schedules and stuff. Tell ya when and where the games are gonna be. Like it’s some big deal. Guess folks like knowin’ these things. Me, I just take things as they come. No need to plan it all out, if ya ask me.
Anyway, that’s all I know about this América vs. Leon game. Just a bunch of fellas kickin’ a ball, far as I can see. But folks get all excited about it, so there must be somethin’ to it, I guess. Maybe one day I’ll sit down and watch one of these games. But probably not. Got too much to do, ya know?
