Okay, so today I wanted to keep up with the America vs. Monterrey match. I’m a big soccer fan, and these are two strong teams, so I knew it was going to be a good one. Here’s how I went about finding the score and what happened.
Checking My Usual Sports Apps
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up my go-to sports app. I won’t mention the name, but it’s one of the popular ones. Usually, I can just quickly glance at the live scores section, and boom, there it is. I scrolled through the list of matches, but…nothing. I found the score very late, it was very frustrating to refresh.
Digging a Little Deeper
Next, I fired up my laptop. I figured maybe a dedicated sports website would have more up-to-the-minute info. I went to a few of the big sports news sites, the ones everyone knows. I started clicking around, looking at their soccer sections, and their live scoreboards. I could find some information, they were talking about previous matches and stats. It was all old news!
Finally Found It!
So, I searched directly on google. I typed in “America vs Monterrey score today,”. The search results page did show the score, but not timely enough.
It looks like the real-time updates is a bit slow, it may be due to the time differences, network latency and other reasons lead to real-time updates is not so fast. To be honest, it was a little annoying to have to hunt around like that.
