Hey everyone, I’ve been meaning to share my latest adventure with you all, and today’s the day. It’s about getting into the Rider men’s tennis scene. Yeah, you heard that right – tennis! So, I started digging around, trying to figure out what it takes to get noticed by the Rider University Men’s Tennis program.
First off, I hit up the Rider University website. I was clicking around, looking for anything related to their tennis program. I found their page with info about the team, the coaches, and all that stuff. It was a good starting point, but I needed more than just basic info.
Then, I stumbled upon some websites talking about college tennis recruiting. They were like, “Hey, if you want to get into a program like Rider’s, you gotta start building relationships and get yourself out there.” So, I thought, “Okay, I gotta make sure these Rider folks know who I am.”
I started to look for ways to showcase my tennis skills. I mean, I’ve been playing for a while now, and I’m not too shabby, if I do say so myself. I figured I needed to get some videos of me playing, maybe some stats from tournaments I’ve been in. Anything to show I’m serious about this tennis thing.
I also saw that the tennis recruiters at Rider are probably super busy. I mean, they’re trying to build their team for the next season, right? So, I knew I had to do something to stand out. I started thinking about how to get on their radar. Maybe send them an email, introduce myself, and share my tennis background?
I spent a good chunk of time just browsing different websites, trying to piece together this whole college tennis recruiting process. There’s a lot to it, man. But it’s like a puzzle, and I’m slowly putting the pieces together.
Digging into the Details
I found this one website, ProductiveRecruit it was called, I think, that had some info on the Rider tennis program and their coaches. Seemed like a good place to get some insider info. Every little bit helps, you know?
Then I went back to the Rider website and noticed they had these links – “Apply,” “Visit,” “Inquire,” “Give.” I clicked on “Inquire” and figured that might be a way to get in touch with someone from the tennis program directly.
One thing that really stuck with me was this guide I found about men’s college tennis recruiting. It was like a step-by-step manual for getting recruited. It talked about everything from creating a profile to contacting coaches to attending showcases. It was a lot to take in, but it was definitely helpful.
Putting It All Together
I realized that this whole process is about more than just being good at tennis. It’s about being proactive, reaching out, and showing that you’re really interested. I made a mental note to follow up on that “Inquire” link and maybe try to schedule a visit to the campus.
I also started working on getting those videos of my tennis skills together. I mean I haven’t really recorded myself seriously playing before. I asked a friend to help me out. We went to the courts, and he recorded a few of my matches. It was a bit awkward at first, but I think we got some decent footage.
So yeah, that’s where I’m at right now. It’s a work in progress, but I’m feeling pretty good about it. I’m learning a lot, and I’m definitely getting closer to making this Rider tennis dream a reality. I’ll keep you guys updated on how it goes!
Progress Check:
- Researched Rider University’s Men’s Tennis program.
- Explored college tennis recruiting websites.
- Started gathering videos and stats to showcase my skills.
- Planned to contact Rider’s tennis program through their website.
- Began creating a strategy to get noticed by the recruiters.
It’s a long road, but I’m excited to see where it leads. Wish me luck!
