I’ve been meaning to hit the tennis courts at Towson University for a while now. I’m a big tennis fan, and I heard they have some pretty good courts over there. So, I finally decided to go check them out.
First, I did a little digging online to get some basic information. It turns out that the courts are part of something called the Tiger Tennis Complex. From what I gathered, it’s the home base for the Towson University tennis team, which is cool. It sounded official, so I figured the courts had to be decent.
The Tiger Tennis Complex is located behind the Towson Center Arena. This wasn’t super clear to me at first, but I figured it out using online maps. Getting there was easy – I just drove and followed the directions.
Once I got there, I saw that they have 10 courts. That’s a good number – usually means you can get a court without waiting too long. They looked like standard courts, nothing too fancy, but well-maintained. They mentioned online that the courts are “United States Tennis Association regulation,” which basically means they’re the right size and all that official stuff.
- I played for a couple of hours. The courts were in good shape, and the surface was nice to play on.
- There weren’t many people there when I went, which was great. I hate waiting around.
- I noticed that the courts are not lighted. That means you can only play during the day. So, no late-night tennis matches there.
Conclusion
Overall, I had a good experience at the Towson University tennis courts. They’re solid courts, perfect for a casual game or some practice. Just remember, you’ll need to go during the daytime. If you’re in the Towson area and looking for a place to play, these courts are definitely worth checking out!
