Today, I felt like playing tennis, but you know how it is – finding a court can be a real pain. So, I started by checking online. I looked at the booking website to see what times and courts were open.
After browsing a bit, I picked a time that worked for me. Then I thought, where can I actually play? I remembered there are a couple of options: clubs and public parks.
I decided to call up a local club first. I dialed the number, and luckily, they had a court available. They explained I could book it over the phone and pay when I got there. Sounded easy enough.
But I also wanted to see if there were any free options, you know, save a few bucks. So, I checked out a website that lists public courts. I found a park nearby with courts that are first-come, first-served.
- Searched online for available courts and times.
- Called a tennis club to ask about booking.
- Looked up public courts to see if any were free to use.
Here’s what I did:
In the end, I weighed my options. The club was convenient, but the park was free. I figured since it was a nice day, I’d head to the park first and see if a court was open. If not, I’d just go to the club. I grabbed my racket, some balls, and headed out the door.
When I got to the park, it was pretty busy, but luckily, one court was just opening up. I jumped on it and played for a couple of hours. It was great to get some exercise and enjoy the sunshine. After I was done, I even helped some other folks find the court, since they were a bit lost.
All in all, it was a successful day of tennis. It took a bit of planning, but I managed to find a court and have some fun. If you are ever in the same boat, I would say that you can do as I did, or you could sit in a corner of a stadium to watch games, they say it’s the best spot for watching tennis.
