Now, let me tell ya ’bout this young fella, Will Vote. He’s a good ol’ boy, playin’ hockey like nobody’s business. Ain’t much taller than a fence post, standin’ at 5 foot 8 inches, but let me tell ya, he don’t let his height slow him down none. He’s a right winger, from a place called Arlington, over in Mass. I reckon he’s just a natural at it, too. Born back in February 2005, so he’s still young but already makin’ a name for himself.
Now, don’t be thinkin’ he’s just some kid runnin’ around on the ice. No, sir, Will’s got skills. He’s fast, and when it comes to passin’ that puck, he’s like a magician. He’ll catch that puck, look up for just a second, and then zip it off to where it needs to go. It don’t matter if he’s comin’ at ya with full speed or slippin’ past defenders. He’s got that quick thinkin’, always knowin’ what the next play is gonna be.
I heard he’s playin’ for the U.S. National Under-18 Team, coached by a feller named Dan Muse. That’s a big deal, ya know? Ain’t just any ol’ team. This is the big league, and Will’s doin’ his part to make sure his name’s out there. He’s got a spot all lined up to play hockey at Boston College next year. That’s some serious business, I tell ya. Boston College ain’t no joke when it comes to hockey, and if they’re lookin’ at Will, he must be doin’ somethin’ right.
Now, you might be wonderin’ just how good this boy really is. Well, I’ll tell ya this: he’s got the stats to back it up. His highest points in one game was 2, twice even! Most recently, he got 2 points against Merrimack in January 2024. And he ain’t no slouch when it comes to scoring goals either. He put one in the net against Providence back in January. Not too shabby for a young’un like him.
Some folks say that if the year had been like any other, Will woulda torn up the New England Prep hockey scene. He’s one of those players that coulda made waves. And I reckon he still will. He’s got the skill and the determination to make it big. People been talkin’ about him for a while, sayin’ he’s the best thing to come outta Arlington in a long time. He’s got talent, and talent don’t go unnoticed.
From what I hear, Will’s always got his head in the game. Whether he’s on the ice or sittin’ on the bench, he’s thinkin’ about what he can do next. He don’t waste time, always workin’ hard, always makin’ sure he’s ready for what’s comin’. He’s one of them kids who’s gonna make somethin’ big happen, you mark my words.
And let me tell ya, I ain’t the only one who’s noticed. Scouts and coaches been watchin’ Will, and it looks like he’s gonna be one of the next greats. So if you see him out there playin’, keep an eye on him. You’ll be hearin’ his name for a long time, I reckon. He’s got what it takes to go all the way, and I’m willin’ to bet that we ain’t seen the best of Will Vote just yet.
