Hey everyone, so, I’ve been getting into the whole school sports scene lately, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the ride. I started looking into Worcester Academy’s hockey program, ’cause, you know, it’s a pretty big deal around here. Turns out, Worcester Academy is some old school in Worcester, Massachusetts – like, the oldest one there. They’ve got kids from grade 6 all the way up to 12.
First off, I tried to figure out how hard it is to get into this place. I found out that their acceptance rate is 65%. I gotta say, it’s a bit more chill than other boarding schools that hover around 60%. Oh, and get this, they’ve got over 500 students, and a bunch of them are on financial aid. I was surprised when I find the tuition. It’s about $56,000 for those who stay there and around $40,000 for the day students. Pricey, huh?
Diving into the Hockey Stuff
Now, about their hockey team, they’re part of this thing called the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). From what I gathered, they’re playing against the best of the best in New England. These guys have rivalries that go way back, like over a hundred years! That’s some serious history.
- Checked out the team: They’ve got this page with all the player stats and stuff. I spent a good chunk of time just browsing through the roster.
- Looked up their games: I got all excited reading about their past games and who their big rivals are. It’s like a whole drama series, but with hockey sticks.
I even found this page dedicated to the Worcester Academy Boy’s Hockey team. They’ve got their own little fan base going. And there’s another one for the girls’ team – they were NEPSAC Champs back in ’16-’17. Pretty cool, right?
The Whole Experience
Honestly, getting into this whole Worcester Academy hockey thing was way more interesting than I thought it would be. I started by just wanting to know a bit about the school and ended up spending hours reading about games, players, and even the school’s history. It’s like, once you start, you just can’t stop. I was digging through all sorts of info, and each new thing I found out just made me want to know more.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of Worcester Academy hockey. It’s been fun, and I’m definitely keeping an eye on their games from now on. Who knew high school sports could be this interesting?
