Okay, so I’ve been digging into the Youngstown State women’s basketball team lately. It all started when I was trying to find some interesting mid-major programs to follow. I wasn’t looking for the big names, you know? I wanted a team with some grit, something a little different.
First, I just did a broad search, you know, “mid-major women’s basketball teams” and stuff like that. Youngstown State popped up on a few lists, and the name “Penguins” kinda stuck with me. It’s unique, right?
So, I started with their official website. I wanted to get a feel for their current roster, see who the key players were. I checked out their schedule, see who they were playing, and what their record was like.
- I looked through some player bios.
- And learned about their coaching staff.
Then, I moved on to looking for some game recaps and highlights. You can usually find some decent stuff on YouTube, even for smaller programs. Found a few full games, too, which was cool. It helped me to really watch them to grasp their style of play, who their star players are.
Digging Deeper
After that, I wanted to see what people were saying about them – fans, sports writers, that kind of thing. I checked out some online forums and fan pages. It’s always interesting to get the perspective of people who follow the team closely.
Finally I found a blog post. And I got all the things that i need.
It’s still early in my “research,” but I’m definitely intrigued by this team. They seem to have a good, hard-working culture, and I’m excited to see how they do this season. I’ll probably keep digging around for more info and watch some more games when I get a chance. It is so exciting!
